PORT TERMINAL TECHNOLOGY

Built for the Long Haul. Engineered for
Low Cost per Ton.

Moving bulk over distance is where trucks lose and belts win. KOCH Solutions engineers overland belt conveyors, pipe conveyors, and steep-angle systems that transport material across kilometres of difficult terrain – around curves, over gradients, through sensitive areas – at a fraction of the cost per ton, with availability measured in the high nineties.

THE CHALLENGE

Long distances. Rough terrain. Zero tolerance for spillage.

Every transfer point is a cost centre and a failure point. Every kilometre of haul road burns fuel, tyres, and labour. Bulk transport systems must follow the terrain — not fight it — carry thousands of tons per hour continuously, and contain dust and spillage across their full length. The route others can't take is exactly where a conveyor earns its business case.

FEATURED SYSTEM

KOCH

PIPE

CONVEYOR

When the route runs through populated, protected, or difficult ground, the pipe conveyor closes the belt around the material –– a sealed tube that eliminates dust and spillage over the entire length. It follows tight horizontal and vertical curves that an open belt cannot, cutting transfer points and structure while carrying material through areas where conventional conveyors are simply not an option. Enclosed by design. Clean by default.

PRODUCT RANGE

Conveying Portfolio

Custom-engineered transport systems for every route — from long-distance overland corridors to enclosed, curve-following, and near-vertical applications.

Overland Belt Conveyors

Long-distance bulk transport engineered for high availability and low cost per ton — with horizontal and vertical curves that follow the terrain and cut the number of transfer points to a minimum.

Shiftable & In-Pit Conveyors

Relocatable conveyor lines that follow the advancing mining face and connect extraction to overland transport — engineered to be moved fast and run continuously.

Steep-Angle Conveyors

Near-vertical transport up to 90° for in-pit and confined applications, delivered by the IBEX system — replacing chains of conventional conveyors with a single high-lift line. (See IBEX on the Mining page.)

Transfer Stations&Components

Engineered transfer points, drive stations, and belt technology that control material flow, minimize wear and dust, and keep the whole line running.

CARGOES HANDLED

Engineered for the Route Others Can't Take

Conveying is defined by the route, not the material. KOCH systems are engineered around the terrain, distance, and constraints of the connection you need to make.

Long-Distance Overland

Point-to-point bulk corridors  — replacing truck fleets and haul roads with a single continuous line.

River, Road & Rail Crossings

Elevated and bridged spans that carry material over infrastructure without interrupting it.

Conveying_02.jpg

Dufficult Terrain

Curved routings that follow contours and cross elevation without a chain of transfer towers.

Curved Routings

Horizontal and vertical curves that reduce transfer points — cutting cost, wear, and failure risk.

Steep Inclines

Gradients up to 90° for near-vertical transport straight up out of the pit — delivered by the IBEX system.

Mine-to-Port & Plant Connections

Fixed-line corridors linking extraction, processing, storage, and shipping into one continuous flow.
